I am sick and tired of horror movies these days. I watch them coming out over and over expecting that it will give me the same chill and scare that the movies I watched when I was young did. It is like beating your head against a wall hoping that you actually feel something.

The sad part is I know exactly what we are missing and it has nothing to do with what we are missing. It is missing the mystery. No more are movies about the elusive but about the gore. Lets just chop some people up and throw them in the audiences face. Well... that approached worked so well for Saw. They may have made movies and people watched them even but they were terrible and those people that watched them probably will not watch them again. (If they watch them again you may want to consider that you may not want to be friends with them.)

I do not want to sound like I am a huge movie critic because I am not. I am not one of those people who enjoyed Citizen Kane (IMO Shit movie).

Since we are on the subject of movies... "Worst Movie Ever Made" Award goes to "Bug" directed by: William Friedkin (I will never watch a film directed by this man ever again) Dreadful... Just F*$%ing Dreadful. I am not sure why I even provided a link because it will just make you curious and after watching you may actually kill yourself.

My brother recently showed me a small flash/java script. I thought it was rather intriguing.

I finally installed Windows 7 and got it all up and running. It is pretty nice but I do not see much of a comparable difference in performance or anything. I guess that is a good thing in a way because I would assume that it would be slower on XP. I am including a Screenshot.

Issa looks bigger, but she is still 9-1/2 lbs.  She is angry at me right now because I closed another window for the night.   I learned that too much catnip will not hurt a cat, but they can become desensitized to its effects.   I am watching "Lost".  It is not recommended if you cannot watch each week.  I am behind, and am having trouble keeping up with what is going on.  Work was O.K.  I think it is getting a little busier.  That would be great.  Job security.   I will post again when I have something more intelligent and/or important to say.

 I see you got a lot of 'happy birthday' posts on your facebook today, Kyle.  Have a great rest of the day.  If today wasn't good , have a better tomorrow. :-)

I have fixed the bugs associated with the following:

Edit: For "Users" the script would attempt to grab an author when there was no author and would then set author to null. This would disassociate the author of the post from the post. Not allowing anyone but the admin access it. Fixed.

CSS: Small bug in the CSS. Buttons were not displaying correctly. Fixed by adding a ';'. /facepalm Fixed.

Avatar: If user did not have an avatar set the User Control Panel would display a broken image icon in place of where the default avatar should be. Fixed.

Security: Security updated on adding or editing posts. Users will no longer be able to edit other people's posts by changing the address bar entry. Same with deleting and changing user preferences. Fixed.

Upcoming features: Soon I will be implementing a way for users to upload pictures for their avatars and also for posts. That way each user has an easier way to post pictures on the site without having to leech off of other sites.

I Effin Knew It!

I am not sure if anyone else has been having issues with DNS but the problems I have been having with TWC and their DNS is just outrageous. It seems that ever other link that I click on seems to go to their "search" page.

Even things within Google I sometimes cannot get to. I struggle to goto images.google.com. I attempted to use OpenDNS but that failed tonight also. I entered in the OpenDNS IP Addresses and they worked for about 6 hours and then all the sudden I could not go to anything. Everything I clicked on went straight to their search engine.

I am fairly annoyed with all of this and I am not sure what I can do about it. If anyone has anything they can tell me that would be awesome. Contact me: Kyle@digitalplague.com

Solved: It amazes me really how a simple call to the cable company can magically make things work... I called Time Warner Cable. (As per usual) They told me it was a problem on my end. I said there is nothing wrong with MY equipment. There must be something wrong on their end. I heard a lot of clicking they put me on hold several times. I finally gave up and said thank you for you help I am going to research other options. When I restarted the router for the 8th time the internet magically started to work again. Now in my opinion, when this happens every single time I have a problem with TWC, they did something in order to fix the problem but they do not want to tell me that because a weeks worth of outages and/or hassles means that I can get credit for the week(s). Interesting...

I am currently developing new features for the site. There may be some bugs and what not for those that I have given access to. If there are some bugs please let me know what they are and I will try to deal with them as best as I can.

I will be adding a user control panel soon enough so that the registered users can choose their avatar and change their password. I may, in the future, be adding a signature feature which will automatically put a user-specified picture and/or text at the bottom of each of their posts. However that may end up just being implemented into the forums, if I manage to make them.

Update!(03/21/10): User Control Panel has been implemented.

This has got to be one of the best movies I have watched in a while. It evokes such emotion if you put yourself in the position of the main character. It is sad and makes you think. I would say watch the trailer, but it does not do the movie justice in my opinion. Go out and rent it!

* Death Knight PvP Gauntlets: The chance to refresh a Frost Rune when casting Chains of Ice has been removed. When equipped, these gloves now generate 5 additional runic power whenever Chains of Ice is used.

+ The flight time of Rocket Strikes has been increased, and Rocket Strikes will try to prefer players at range.

+ Proximity mines now deal less damage and have a lower duration. A small arming time has also been added so proximity mines will not immediately detonate on creation.



Bug Fixes


* Druid Tier 8 Balance Set: The 4-piece bonus no longer has its effect consumed by Starfire casts in progress when it triggers. The chance for the effect to be triggered has been reduced down to 8%, as it was originally inflated to compensate.
* Ice Layered Barrier: Upgraded to item level 232. In addition, the stats in the tooltip have been correctly adjusted to 78 spell power, 48 haste rating, 16 mana per 5 seconds, 52 Intellect, and 50 Stamina.
* Pulsing Spellshield: The stats listed in the tooltip for this item were incorrect and have been adjusted. This item provides 69 spell power, 34 haste rating, 42 critical strike rating, 45 intellect, and 45 stamina.

This "technology" has created an absolutely useless environment where people can communicate.

For those of you who do not know what twitter is go to thi.... NO! Do not look it up... do not bother yourself. It is such a crap technology it is not even funny. I understand why people post on forums and on their own sites (wink wink) because if someone cares enough to know what is going on in your life at that time then they can access something about you. However I do not need to know what Joe Smo is doing at this very second. I do not care whether or not your coffee was hot this morning. I really just do not care. If my own mother was using twitter I would not subscribe because if it is information pertinent enough that it has to be brought to my attention I will hear about it.

Imagine, a company like Phillip Morris, who regularly saves the starving orphan babies of... wherever, with their compassionate donations through subsidiary Kraft (also one of America's leading suppliers of food products...) I would imagine their CEO's probably live huddled in boxes under a bridge somewhere, having selflessly given all their money to those more deserving.

So now that I'm through being sarcastic, here's the deal: Fire Safe Cigarettes are a challenge to smoke. Having to huff and puff like the big bad wolf burns through a pack faster than before. We have to smoke MORE and FASTER.

And just in case the race towards death isn't preventing you from enjoying your smoke properly, science has discovered 25 ways to make your cigarettes taste like shit while killing you at an alarming rate.

The general consensus is that they contain sodium silicate, which is toxic, and people who've smoked for years are suddenly prone to upper respiratory afflictions. Is this really news? Was anyone up in arms about potassium nitrate in their smokes? Ethyl acetate? Formaldehyde? No.

Smokers just kept on smoking.
Some years back, I started handrolling cigarettes for these reasons, to the repeated protests of my peers, who have been thoroughly brainwashed into believing filters are good for you. They make it like you're not even smoking. I'll bet some studies somewhere show that filtered cigarette smoke cures depression and headaches and lupus and typhoid fever, because a big enough company can pay for a study that shows pretty much any result in the interest of profit. The real result being, people I like, who like me (I think), end up pushing their coffin nails on me like an industry rep, and they feel some sense of rejection when I refuse. They try to convince me; Filter cigarettes laced and sprayed with toxins: Good for you. All natural loose tobacco, unfiltered: You will surely die. Right away.

Horrible cancer will eat your face if you do not smoke the correct cigarette.

Or as Mick Jagger so succinctly put it, "...He can't be a man cause he doesn't smoke the same cigarettes as me."

Truly we smokers can't get no satisfaction.

So, Now I'm finally to my point.
I don't even smoke these damn things anymore, because they were toxic long before the FSC laws. We may never know if tobacco causes cancer, or if it's one of the 500 additives designed to make them taste so good you'd sell your firstborn for another drag, but what I know for sure, when my girlfriend comes around with her death sticks (now made from real camels, I imagine) they make me ill.
They stink up my house, and offend my senses, and I have to roll a cigarette and smoke it just to mask her secondhand smoke. When she has her morning cigarette in bed, I try my best to seal the covers around my head so I won't have to breathe it and I'm a smoker. Does that strike you as a bit absurd? It did me.
I used to smoke camels, and like them, and then one day I tasted tobacco as nature intended it to be, and it was glorious. And I'm not going back.

I recommend to all of you reading now, either quit smoking, start rolling your own, or at the very least, quit bitching. To place any blame on the tobacco companies now is equivalent to a postwar German democrat blaming Hitler for Auschwitz. Sure, he wasn't a very nice guy, but we've all known, and we've done nothing to prevent it. We've lost our right to indignant rhetoric and petty complaints.

It's time for someone to take responsibility.
If not us, who?
If not now, when?

P.S. Alternately, you could donate your tobacco money to organized religion...

Windows 7 beta is out and from what I can see it is good. I like many of the features that Vista had when speaking of "look and feel" but the functionality was something to be desired. I installed Windows 7 Beta and it seems like the functional issues I was having were fixed. So yeah here is a screenshot... Enjoy!

Old news but I had the email still that I quit wow. Just thought it was something kinda funny.

I just purchased one of the new Asus EEE PC 4G laptops. This little PC surprised me with its absolutely tiny size and it's speed. Even though it is only a 900mhz it still speeds along like something much faster. You cannot fit much on the hard drive but it can handle windows XP with all the updates and a few other programs on the side. These programs include Pidgin, Open Office, Firefox, VPN Client, and other smaller choice programs.

Here is a new screen shot of my updated Desktop. I think it looks pretty good so far. I still need to find some more ways to screw with things.

I have started a new project for IST402 and I am nearing the end. The assignment was to create a virtual environment website. Well the only way I could fathom doing this is with flash. So I went out to Barnes and Noble and bought the Macromedia Flash 8 Bible. And this is the end result.

Well it is about that time now that I am back to the beave and I am as bored as ever. I have noticed that over the years it seems that all of my friends seem to be getting girlfriends and abandoning everyone else. I am not sure what causes them to do this nor do I understand why everyone goes after the people they do. All I have seen is a bunch of my friends bitching, complaining, and moaning about what their significant other is doing/saying. I think it is all about obsession with them. They have not had anyone that actually was interested in them or something. I am not sure... I don't want to rag on them too much but it just pisses me off when I am stuck in my room playing WoW all night because everyone else is doing something with their girlfriend. I have just come to the realization that I need to get out of here soooo bad.

I have once again changed my site design around so now it looks completely different. The main reason I changed this is because I was using a CMS(Content Management System) and that is kinda a cheap way to do things. The best way to do something is to make up the code by yourself and that is exactly what I did.
